Chow Yun Fat ("Jack" Chen)

Chow Yun Fat grew up in Hong Kong where he began his career working in Television on the popular series Hotel. The show as incredibly popular as was his next series, The Bund which made him a household name in all of South-East Asia.

His first big break in films came when new age director Ann Hui approached him to star in The Story of Woo Viet. From there, his career skyrocketed. He received a number of Best Actor awards for his roles, and was in great demand, acting in 12 films in 1986 alone.

He first worked with John Woo in A Better Tomorrow and would later collaborate with him on The Killer and Hard-boiled. In 1996 Chow had his first English-speaking role in The Replacement Killers. He went on to star in The Corrupter, Anna and the King and later the box office hit Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

His other film credits include; Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, The Postmodern Life of my Aunt and Curse of the Golden Flower. He is currently working on Fox’s Dragon Ball.
