Kym Barrett (Costume Designer)

Kym Barrett started her career in the theater. During those years she gained experience as a costume designer. Her first film was Romeo + Juliet filmed in Mexico City. Not long after she moved to America, and worked on commercials. From there she worked with the cinematographer Bill Pope who introduced her to the Wachowski Bros. They hired her for their next project The Matrix. After this break she went back to the United States and designed the costumes for Red Planet and continued to work with the directors on The Matrix sequels.

Her other film credits include; Rumor Has It, Monster In Law and Gothika. Barrett is currently in Australia designing the costumes for X-Men Origins – Wolverine starring Hugh Jackman.
