Lillian Birnbaum (Executive Producer)

Ms. Birnbaum was born in New York City and raised in Europe. She has been working  with the producer Arthur Cohn for  over 15 years. She has executive  produced Central Station by Walter Salles in 1998 which won the Golden Bear in Berlin, Behind the Sun by Walter Salles, in 2001  (Golden Globe nomination), and One Day In September by Kevin MacDonald which won the Oscar for Best Documentary in 2000. In 2007 she executive produced the road movie The Yellow Handkerchief with William Hurt, Maria Bello, Kristen Stewart and Eddie Redmayne.

Lillian Birnbaum started her career as a professional photographer which remains her other great passion to this very day.
She exhibits and publishes her work on a regular basis. In 2006/2007 she directed her first documentary film, A Bridge Between Two Worlds, on Sir André Previn. She currently resides in Paris, France.
